At Galkynysh Gas Field, it should be noted that all technological processes at the Galkynysh field related to the production, collection, processing and transportation of gas are fully automated, control rooms are equipped with electronic and other special equipment to ensure reliable operation and environmental safety of facilities.
Production at Galkynysh Gas Field commenced in September 2013, marking completion of the first phase of field development and a complex facilities was built to produce 30 billion m3 / year of commercial gas. The field is expected to hold gas reserves of more than 14 trillion cubic metres. The complex has existing three gas treatment plants at the field with a capacity to treat ten billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas per year, which is expected to increase to 40bcm per year by 2015.
We offer spot, short or long-term contracts, as well as customised solutions tailored to our customers’ needs. As an LNG supplier operating since early-2013, we have built a track record of a reliable and competitive partner. We have also been the sole user of the small-scale LNG reloading wharf station.
Small-scale LNG applications include:
- in satellite regasification terminals located in Ýolöten,
- in medium- and small-scale industry,
- as fuel for road transport,
- as low-emission bunker fuel for ships powered by LNG engines.
An important event of 2021, which is held under the motto "Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Peace and Trust", became the commissioning of a new gas compressor station at the Malay field in Lebap region, where one of the branches of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline originates.
Galkynysh Gas Field is an international company with extensive experience in natural gas storage and underground facility development. The professional experience in underground natural gas storage has been effectively applied in international environments and we are using the emerging synergies both technically and commercially. Galkynysh Gas Field’s underground storage facilities are a critical part of the gas infrastructure and key to smooth gas deliveries in Turkmenistan and Eurasia, as well as a strategic tool for increasing energy security.
Our main advantage is in operation of a storage facility complex connected to other gas distribution and transmission networks and also a virtual trading point, instead of a single storage facility operation.
